Dewsbury Road Runners held their annual 10K on a flat, fast course with runners also benefitting from closed roads, Matthew Bowser (Lincoln Wellington AC) won in 30:28 from Matthew O’Dowd (Swindon Harriers) with Stephen Hepples (Newham & Essex) 3rd. Nicola Geddes (Scunthorpe AC) took the Women’s race from Helen Singleton (Wakefield Harriers) and Sarah Jarvis (Bingley).

Roberttown Road Runners promoted the Liversedge Half Marathon, with David Allison winning from Dewsbury Road runners Andrew Cottier and Andrew Guiseley, but the run of the day must go to Tracey Morris (Valley Striders) for finishing 5th in the race (yes 5th!!).

A field of over 500 gathered for the Huddersfield 10K, not your typically 10K course given the numerous hills on the route, and not for the first time this year the name of Andrew Pearson topped the results sheet (nor was it to be the last this year). Karen Pickles took the women’s title with nearly 4 minutes to spare over her nearest rival, Holmfirth Harriers took the Men’s team prize and Penistone the Women’s.
