Thirsk 10

Sunday saw the rescheduled Thirsk 10 take place on a flat fast course suited to PB's. Weather was good, much better than it is in November when the race is usually run.

First off was the wheelchair race, with the runners setting off 5 minutes later. Andrew Pearson (Longwood Harriers) made his intentions clear from the gun, quickly hitting the front along with Mike Burrett (Leeds). Read more ...

Trafford 10K

Sunday saw the eagerly awaited Trafford 10K. After the exploits of Chris Thompson in 2010 (destroying the field and the course record on his way to clocking 28 mins 02 secs) it wasn’t going to be easy to top last year, but that didn’t stop Dave Norman and his team putting together arguably one of the strongest fields seen in a domestic 10K for some time. Huddersfield 10K

On Sunday almost 500 runners took the start of the 22nd Huddersfield 10K. Locals describe the course as undulating; those from further a field aren’t quite so polite. With a course record of 32:45 (a good 3 minutes slower than a typical course), set in 1997 by Rob Holladay (Morpeth AC) – it’s not surprising it’s seen as one of the toughest 10K’s around. With a prize list of £1200 plus £100 bonus for a new race record, the race proved as popular as ever with a full field of entries. Read more...

Almost 1000 runners took the start of the Dewsbury 10K race on Sunday where they met warmer conditions than normal (usually sub zero temperatures). Whilst many where hoping for PB’s on the flat fast course, strong winds hampered their efforts. A record field gathered for the Meltham 10K in Huddersfield on Sunday. Runners were greeted with a cool, overcast morning for the race on a tough hilly course by most standards. Digital files can be ordered up to 6pm on the 24th of December. Please leave yourself enough time to get t-shirts, mugs, gifts etc based on them. During Christmas and the New Year digital files should still be sent out in 24-48 hours.

All print orders are now being dispatched directly from the printers. THEY ARE UNLIKELY TO BE DELIVERED BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
